The cottage is located within a few metres of the wide, sandy beach that forms part of a long stretch of uninterrupted coastline. You can stay close and take a picnic lunch over the dunes for some fun, family time together or, walk on the beach and coastal paths to discover the nearby villages and local birdlife. Craster and Beadnell Bay and beach are within reach after a good walk and the views across Embleton Bay are wonderful, including Dunstanburgh’s impressive ruins. Try your hand at windsurfing or body boarding or just relax and enjoy the open spaces and fresh air. Visits to Alnwick market, castle and gardens, Seahouses’ Harbour, Bamburgh Castle and the Farne Islands will be on your list.
Enter the cottage from the raised, decked area and head straight into the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner with a high ceiling and exposed beams. The kitchen is well-equipped for preparing your meals with an electric oven and gas hob, a fridge/freezer, microwave, coffee machine, dishwasher and washer/dryer. There is a kitchen island for extra storage which creates additional workspace. The large dining table allows for sociable meals together and space for map reading or games. Head into the lounge and relax on the comfortable leather sofas and armchairs after your days out and about exploring the beaches and local attractions whilst watching the TV/DVD or listen to some music on the CD Player. A glazed door leads to the hallway and the tastefully furnished bedrooms, with views towards the children’s play area and the countryside beyond. There are two good-size double bedrooms, one with a spacious en-suite shower room with WC and the third bedroom has twin beds. All bedrooms have wardrobes and storage space so you can unpack and make yourself at home. The attractive bathroom has a bath, separate shower and WC.
Outside, you can dine alfresco on the decked area and enjoy the dark skies and shooting stars. There is a shared, lawned garden for everyone to enjoy and you might see one of the farm's peacocks wandering about the grounds. The children can play on the swings, slide and climbing frame. Parking for two cars is next to the cottage and additional free parking is available onsite.
