Excellent location, perfect for strolls into Seahouses and along the coastal path. Cleanliness could be improved and odd details (fresh paint, new mattress/duvet etc) would make a big difference. However, it was a great base for a wonderful holiday.

Good size, good kitchen. Washer works well, plenty of cutlery / crockery and a dishwasher. Parking in front is off road = very helpful as we saw parking altercations re other properties I've reported faults to holiday cottages re windows - which need replaced Veg Knife had 'walked' - thankfully I'd taken one, also needs a larger saucepan if you werRead moree cooking for 6. And a serving spoon - but lots casserole dishes and baking trays plus cake tins! Hide

We had a lovely stay in Seahouses and the cottage was clean and comfortable It is in a great location very near to the town and also very near to the coastal path which is gorgeous and where I walked my dog every morning. You are also perfectly placed for visiting other Northumberland attractions such as Holy Island, Bamburgh and Alnwick.

Wonderful log burner very cosy. Kitchen small with small table seating only three, so unfortunately couldnt use the dining table together.

A really nice cottage just round the corner from the harbour and all the shops. Plenty of room inside for a family group with loads of plates, dishes etc. Off road parking is helpful in the area but the yard isn't secure if you need to let the dogs out occasionally. Really happy with our choice.

Dont stay until the property has been deep cleaned. I did contact mgmt co who sent in a cleaner but much of the grime was a build up over time. Mattress and duvet were both badly stained when I took linen off on last day. TV did not work but again repair was organised. Both of these points raised on a previous review but nothing actioned. Really saRead mored as it was in a perfect location and the bones of the property were lovely. Just not clean, therefore not comfortable. We left a day early. Hide

We stayed here twice in the past and thats why we were back! We were fortunate to be there in excellent weather but the house is great even if the weather isnt. The location is perfect, house is comfy and well equipped and off street parking is a bonus - 2 small cars fit on with space to spare. A lovely holiday in all respects. Thanks!

The cottage was found to be clean & tidy being well placed close to the main high street where food & general supply shops are found. larger towns such as Alnwick are a 30 minute drive where one can find most things & Berwick about the same further north. There is no street sign but the property is easy to find. On occasion, it can be tight to park. Hide

What a great base this was for exploring the local area...a stone's throw to the harbour and local amenities made this the perfect location for us. A very friendly, local pub only 3 doors away were very welcoming to locals. The cottage was very cosy and all rooms generous.
