With phenomenal sea views across Seahouses’ harbour, this cottage is surrounded by beautiful beaches – offering plenty of walking opportunities just off your doorstep. The cottage is also just a stone’s throw away from the array of shops, restaurants and pubs that the vibrant village of Seahouses has to offer. From the cottage window, it’s possible to spot the famed Farne Islands, home to a variety of exciting wildlife which can be visited by boat. The atmospheric Holy Island is another fantastic day-trip from Seahouses, as are the numerous castles scattered around the area including the magnificent Bamburgh Castle, perched high above the ocean on its rocky plateau.
This two-storey inverted level cottage is superbly finished and full of thoughtful touches to make your holiday even more special. Every aspect of the cottage is homely yet luxurious and has all the facilities to cater for families, even those with dogs. On the ground floor, you will encounter one king-size bedroom and one twin bedroom. These two rooms share a large family bathroom, complete with a shower cubicle, a bath and WC. A cot is also available in the master bedroom. Ascending to the first floor, you'll find an open-plan lounge/diner which is both spacious and comfortable – with ample seating centring around a cosy woodburner together with a Smart TV for cosy family evenings in. The kitchen is fully-equipped with a range of modern facilities, including an electric oven and hob, microwave, and dishwasher. The third bedroom, a double, has an en-suite bathroom containing a shower cubicle, a basin and a WC.
There are some lovely outdoor spots at the cottage too. The spacious lounge opens out into a large Juliet balcony with breath-taking views across the harbour. The back door of the property leads to a gorgeous courtyard area with outdoor furniture, where you can relax and enjoy some afternoon sunshine. Across the patio, there is a very useful utility/shower room/dog-drying room – perfect after sandy seaside walks. Parking for one car is available at the front of the property . A parking permit for a second car is also provided for use in the main village car park, but is also accepted at car parks across Northumberland.
